    Tool tips

    This thread should grow but I will start with a basic one.

    Torx there are several different styles from the standard to Torx Plus along with tamper proof. Now he is the tip that has saved may a headache. When you dont know the size and find a bit that fits try the next size up. I cannot tell you how many times the larger one is the size. This will greatly reduce the chance of stripping the fastener.

    I have many that can save busted knuckels. Like a small dab of valve lapping compound on the end of a phillps or even an allen wrench may give that little extra to remove a stuborn fastner.

    Good idea on the lapping compound.. guess I'll have to get some for my box next time this happens..
